Arsenal FC Manager History

The Early Years

Arsenal Football Club was founded in 1886 as Dial Square. The club's first manager was Thomas Mitchell, who was appointed in 1897. Mitchell led Arsenal to their first major trophy, the FA Cup, in 1930. He was succeeded by Herbert Chapman in 1925, who is considered to be one of the greatest managers in Arsenal's history. Chapman led Arsenal to five league titles and two FA Cups during his time at the club.

The Modern Era

In 1996, Arsène Wenger was appointed as Arsenal manager. Wenger is the club's longest-serving manager, and he led Arsenal to their most successful period in their history. Under Wenger, Arsenal won three Premier League titles, seven FA Cups, and seven Community Shields. He also led Arsenal to the Champions League final in 2006.

The Post-Wenger Era

Wenger left Arsenal in 2018 and was replaced by Unai Emery. Emery was sacked in 2019 after a poor run of results, and he was replaced by Mikel Arteta. Arteta is the current Arsenal manager, and he has led the club to an FA Cup victory in 2020.

Arsène Wenger's Success

Arsène Wenger is the most successful manager in Arsenal's history. He won seven FA Cups, three Premier League titles, and seven Community Shields during his time at the club. He also led Arsenal to the Champions League final in 2006. Wenger is widely regarded as one of the greatest managers in the history of the game.
