Wembley Stadium set to host showpiece event

The 2024 UEFA Champions League final will be held at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday 1 June, UEFA has confirmed.

This will be the second time that Wembley has hosted the final of Europe's premier club competition, having previously done so in 2013 when Bayern Munich beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1.

The 2024 final will be the 69th season of the UEFA Champions League and the 32nd since it was renamed from the European Cup.

The final will be the culmination of a season that will see the introduction of a new format, with the group stage being replaced by a single league format.

The top eight teams from the league will then progress to the knockout stages, which will be played over two legs.

The 2023/24 UEFA Champions League season will begin on 13/14 September 2023 and will conclude with the final on 1 June 2024.
