Aiyuk Injury Update

Brandon Aiyuk Ruled Out for Thursday Night Football, the Giants Hustle

49ers Wide Receiver to Miss Game with Shoulder Injury

News Update: Replace with Latest Information

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has been ruled out for Thursday Night Football against the New York Giants due to a shoulder injury. Aiyuk suffered the injury in last week's win over the Los Angeles Rams and had been listed as questionable leading up to the game.

This is a significant blow to the 49ers offense, as Aiyuk has been one of their most productive receivers this season. In two games, he has caught 12 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for two more scores.

The 49ers will now have to rely more heavily on Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and Jauan Jennings in the passing game. Samuel has been targeted 16 times in two games, while Kittle has 11 targets and Jennings has 10. Running back Elijah Mitchell is also expected to play a larger role in the offense, both as a runner and receiver.

The Giants, meanwhile, will be looking to take advantage of the 49ers' depleted receiving corps. James Bradberry, Adoree' Jackson, and Julian Love will be tasked with covering Samuel, Kittle, and Jennings.

The 49ers and Giants are scheduled to kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET on Thursday night. Stay tuned for the latest updates on Aiyuk's injury and the game itself.
